TRIBUTE TO LEGENDARY BUSHMAN MALCOLM DOUGLAS
1941 - 2010

In 1964, 23 year old Malcolm Douglas set off with a mate on a trip around Australia. As they travelled and explored, they filmed their adventures, later turning them into documentaries which have been shown to audiences world-wide. Since his initial film, Malcolm has produced more than 50 documentaries and films for Australian television.

Malcolm was the original "crocodile hunter" who opened the Broome Crocodile Park in 1983; which has become popular for tourists all over the world. Malcolm was a passionate conservationist, starting up the Kimberley Bilby rescue organistion and working towards increasing numbers of this almost-extinct Aussie animal.

Malcolm had planned to be at the Show demonstrating his camp oven cooking skills, and having a chat about wildlife conservation. Malcolm was killed in an accident at the Broome Crocodile Park in September 2010, just a month before he was scheduled to star at the Show.

Please take the time to check out, and support, Malcolm's "Kimberley Bilby" project.
